Finally Finished!

Whew, this project has been a loooong time in the making, but I love, love the end result!
After seeing Teresa Mcfayden's version of the cookie sheet advent calendar on her blog last November, I had to give it a try--TAC style.
I used many, many materials available from The Angel Company including: Mimi Printed papers, Ivory CS, Date Disks stamp collection, Christmas Checklist stamp collection, Whimsical Greetings stamp collection, Ava embellishments, Pallette Noir ink, Scrapper's Floss, and metal numbers from the Metal Alphabet kit.
The other items I had fun pulling together from all sorts of places including family games, good ole ebay, and even the jewelry chest. I am so excited to find a use for one of my Grandma's brooches. (It is right by the "Christmas" sentiment at the top). This is a brooch that I never would have worn, but kept because I thought it was unique. I stuck some stick on magnets on the back of this, and the pin remained in one piece, so I can use it in a different way in the future if I so choose. I think it looks great with the Mimi paper line and added that just right touch to this project. Grandma's birthday was in December, so it is even more special to have that momento included in this project!
Want to make your own? I will be hosting a class in November in the SE Kansas area. I do not have the date determined yet, but please email me (using the link at the top right) if you are interested in reserving a spot for this class.

Take a Look Tuesday...Week 4

Look for what is good and you will find it...splashing in cool water on a hot day!

Don't you love this action shot? We are really trying to make the most of our final days of summer as you can see.

I won't be posting a challenge this week (or next) due to the fact that I won't be having a lot of studio time.

I hope you are all enjoying these last few weeks of summer, too!

Take a Look Tuesday....Week 3 Wrap Up

Yesterday, we spent all afternoon with friends in a neighboring town enjoying a water park. It was the perfect day for it...I think it made it up to 100 degrees!
Last week's Take a Look Tuesday challenge was to create a summertime project. Here's a picture of a project that I submitted to The Angel Company earlier this summer. It features the May SOTM 'Auld Land Syne.' I love the watermelon paired with the Catelynne paper line.

Dog Days of Summer!

Here's Roxy trying to keep cool! Phew, it has been hot!

Recipe You'll Love...

The boys and I spent the afternoon over at my aunt and uncle's farm today. The boys even got to ride 'Sadie' the gentle horse. While there, my aunt gave me a new recipe for peanut butter cookies and we decided to try it out this evening. Wow, are they ever good....& here's the best part... there are only 3 ingredients.

Peanut Butter Cookies
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 egg

Mix. Roll into small balls. Criss cross tops with sugared fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Yummmmm!

Eccentric Elements...Clipboard Fun

Here is my winning entry for last month's 'Eccentric Elements' contest open to all demonstrators with The Angel Company. I had a lot of fun creating this clipboard using stamps from one of my favorite TAC stamp sets, 'Spring Time.'

This would make a fun little inexpensive gift to make for someone and it is super easy to make. Just purchase the tab chipboard book from The Angel Company and break it apart. Then, you cover and embellish as desired. Add a clip, and you have your own mini clipboard! I got this idea from fellow angels, Sarah and Jen-- very creative girls!

I've already got my free stamps picked out! If you'd like to have opportunities to win free stamps every month from The Angel Company, contact me for more information.
